South Waikato Achievement Trust
Contact: Rod Ashcroft
The South Waikato Achievement Trust was established in 1976 and since that time the community has witnessed the constant growth in the physical size of our locations and also the diversified services that we provide to our disabled clients and employees.
There is absolutely no doubt that the successes that SWAT is currently enjoying are the result of community support and the efforts of our Board of Trustees and management committee. Furthermore, we have a dedicated staff that is inspired towards assisting clients and employees reach their own personal and work skills goals.
This very positive position has meant working together, a positive and happy team, learning from the past, and building the Centre into a modern, efficient and fully functioning facility.
Our Acting General Manager Russell Ensorsaid “There are challenges ahead but I am convinced that we will become, in the very near future the Waikato leader in the delivery of Social Services.”
We have a very responsible role to the community to provide work, personal development programmes (called Community participation programmes) whilst, where possible, provide employment for disabled clients within our business Units
